Statement of faith

The convictions behind Kairos Global Ministries and Kairos Assembly. Jesus at the centre, the Word as our foundation, the Spirit as our power.

Kairos Global Ministries

What we believe

Every ministry under the Kairos name stands on these foundations.

  1. The Scriptures

We believe the Bible, Old and New Testament, is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the final authority for faith and life.

  2. One God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  3. Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension, and His personal return in glory.

  4. Salvation

We believe all have sinned and that salvation is the gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, through repentance and the new birth.

  5. The Holy Spirit

We believe in the person and present work of the Holy Spirit, who convicts, regenerates, indwells and empowers believers to live a holy life and to bear witness to Jesus.

  6. Baptism in the Holy Spirit and gifts

We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit and in the gifts of the Spirit for today, including tongues, prophecy, healing and miracles, exercised in love and in order, tested by Scripture.

  7. Healing and deliverance

We believe Jesus still heals the sick and sets the captive free, and that the atonement of Christ provides for the whole person: spirit, soul and body.

  8. The Church

We believe in one universal Church, the body of Christ, expressed in local churches where believers gather for worship, the Word, prayer, fellowship and mission.

  9. Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers

We believe Christ gave the fivefold ministry to equip the saints for works of service, until all reach unity in the faith and maturity in Christ.

  10. Water baptism and communion

We believe in baptism in water by immersion for believers, and in the Lord's Supper as a remembrance and proclamation of the death of Jesus until He comes.

  11. Marriage and family

We believe in the sanctity of life and of marriage, and in the family as a foundation of society and of the church. We welcome every person with the love of Christ.

  12. Mission and mercy

We believe the Church is sent to make disciples of all nations, to plant churches, and to show the mercy of Jesus to the poor, the orphan, the widow and the stranger.

  13. Christ's return and eternity

We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the final judgement, eternal life for those in Christ, and the new heaven and new earth.

Kairos Assembly

Our church, in a few words

Kairos Assembly holds fully to the statement of faith above. As a local church we are:

  • Spirit-filled: we make room for worship, prayer and the gifts of the Spirit.
  • Word-centred: we teach the Bible and apply it to everyday life.
  • International: we gather in English, as a family of many nations.
  • Open to all: everyone is welcome, whatever their background or church history.
  • Missional: we give, pray and go, locally and globally.
The Farmer's Inn

A house of the Christian faith

The Farmer's Inn welcomes guests of every Christian tradition. It is a hospitality ministry built on the historic Christian faith, expressed in the creed below, with Jesus at the centre of everything: prayer, Scripture, worship and communion.

Guests do not need to share every conviction listed on this page to be welcome.

Simply this

We follow Jesus, trust the Scriptures, and serve every guest with grace, love and wisdom.

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father; He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
